Elevators are thing that has made life very easy for mankind. Now instead of walking the tall building up and own you can simply go straight to the top floor of the twentieth floor in press of a button. This has simply cut on the usual exercise that humans used to get. This for sure has made life easy for the old aged people too. When you are used to the freedom elevators at home and have all kind of other lifts including the stairway one, you did get into a habit of running for the lift button. Even to climb a two floor now people do depend on the elevators. If it is one person with problem walking or a disabled one using a wheel chair lifts is fine. But now hoping into the lift is quite a fashion and the staircase of most building do wear drab look. The lifts are for use of human and they do so to the maximum use. It is the over kill that always does the harm and lead to accident. Climbing stairs is a good exercise that needs to discontinue just because lifts are there at your disposal.
