Service Sector In India

Service sectors include IT and IT enabled services including the BPO sector. The employment opportunities are now flourishing in this sector, thanks to the globalization which encourages the Multinational Companies to enter the Indian market. The government specially focuses on this sector as it is the major revenue contributor. Although current economic crisis has affected it too, it is sure to bloom again. Indians find more opportunities in this field even in other countries due to their technical skills. And this has widely changed the living standards of people too. So its time for our people to have a broader vision and equip ourselves with the necessary resources so that we may utilize those opportunities and enhance our lives for the better.

Gattaca – An Ethan hawke starrer, alongside Uma Thurman is a sci-fi movie about a young boy who dreams of making it to space and making it big. However the frailty of his health ie., possessing a weaker heart than his brother’s prevents him from achieving his only dream. This movie portrays as to how far a human mind would go to perceivably achieve what one desperately wants to become in life. Ethan hawke impersonates as Jude law undergoing a serious of rigorous changes both to his self and persona in order to turn the tables of destiny in his favour. Finally a must-watch, sci-fi thriller.

Internet is one of the greatest inventions by the modern technology. There is no doubt that internet has changed the way of life of people. It has made things easier, reduced our valuable time and many more to say. But then there are always pros and cons in any invention. Internet is not too far from that if you could see the record of internet crimes of 2008 submitted by IC3. The crime rate is 33% higher than the previous year. The major complaints are Non-delivery, auction fraud, credit card fraud, confidence fraud, lottery fraud, etc. There were a total of around 70,000 cases of fraud complaints registered which estimated to be loss of$246.6 million.

New jobs but less pay

Almost half of the US employees who were laid off due to recession said they were able to find new jobs but with less pay and in different field. A survey conducted for CareerBuilder.com for nearly 800 adults who lost their full-time job revealed that 49 percent had landed in new jobs but of those, nearly 50 percent earn less money. The survey also showed that workers in the age 35 to 44 were most likely to get new jobs and more men found new jobs compared to women. One-sixth of the workers who got new jobs had to relocate and one-sixth had to work for more hours as per the survey.

We all know that Sachin Tendulkar is going to complete 30,000 International runs as he is 500 odd run short of it. But in history of domestic cricket there are more cricketers than sachin to have some outstanding figures. Glamorgan left-hand opener Alan Jones has scored 36,049 runs and Sussex’s John Langridge has scored 34,378. The interesting part of these two players is, though both had a mammoth runs under their belt they could not make their into the Test cricket. Pakistani batsman Zaheer Abbas who has scored double century and a century in the same match. Not only on single occasion but for four times he did this feat while playing for Gloucestershire.
